Samsung has begun the Android 13 rollout for the Galaxy A73 5G in Malaysia. Users in the Asian country are receiving the big update with firmware version A736BXXU2BVK2 (via). A wider rollout should follow in the coming days. The handset is gaining the October security patch with this release, which patches about 50 vulnerabilities. While that isn’t the latest available, we are more interested in Android 13 and One UI 5....

The latest update for the Galaxy Buds Pro and the Galaxy Buds 2 is already available to users globally over the air (OTA). The updated firmware versions for the two pairs are R190XXU0AVF1 and R177XXU0AVF1, respectively. The OTA package weighs 2.33MB for the former and 3.01MB for the latter, SamMobile reports. So it’s a fairly small update that you can download over cellular data. As usual, you can download and install this update through the companion Galaxy Wearable app on your connected smartphone....

The Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update for the Galaxy XCover Pro in the US comes with firmware version G715U1UEUFDVKA. The phone is only available unlocked stateside and the rollout has already covered units on most networks. The remaining few should also join the party. Users in Canada are also widely getting this update with firmware version G715WVLUAEVK9. Samsung is seeding the December security patch in both markets. The latest SMR (Security Maintenance Release) patches 80 vulnerabilities....

Chip shortage has caused a lot of damage to different sectors, and the problem still continues without any prospects. Intel’s CEO recently asserted that the chip shortage could even remain until 2024. Samsung, the second-largest chip contract manufacturer in the world, is now looking to increase its chip prices by 20 percent later this year. Samsung has completed talks with some customers about the new prices and is now negotiating with the remaining customers....

Samsung releases ad trolling Apple, again Published on YouTube earlier today, the new video is almost two minutes long. Titled “Samsung Galaxy: Join the flip side,” it highlights the Galaxy Z Flip 4 foldable that the company recently launched. The video begins with a girl showing her new foldable to a friend named Elena. She proudly tells her friend that the phone “literally folds in half,” which is pretty cool. The Flex Mode allows you to use the phone partially folded at various angles, enabling use cases like hands-free group selfies....

Samsung showcased a Slidable Flex prototype at the CES 2022 in January. In its compact form, the device is slightly larger than a regular smartphone. But on the press of a button, the device pulls out additional screen space on the right side, turning the device into a small-sized tablet. It grows as big as the company’s Fold-series foldable smartphones. The Slidable Flex Solo moniker fits this product. The Korean behemoth followed up with another slidable prototype at the Display Week 2022 in May....

The bands are officially available starting today and will cost $39.99. Of the six designs available, the “Midnight Black” and “Stratus Sky” watch bands are made of recycled apple peel skin obtained from the fruit industry. Three of the watch bands bear the Sami Miró Vintage moniker. The goal here for Samsung is to allow gamers to enjoy games without having tp purchase separate, expensive gaming hardware. Though at this point in time, it might be more challenging to “find” some of the more expensive gaming hardware than pay for it. Therein potentially lies an opportunity for Samsung. If it can manage to deliver a high-grade gaming experience over the cloud. If so, then all consumers would need is a Samsung TV running Tizen and a compatible controller....

The four Samsung products that received Design Excellence awards included three Bespoke home appliances. The Bespoke Cube Air Purifier AX53, Bespoke Refrigerator, and Bespoke AirDresser all picked up the Good Design Award Gold Accolade.
