Whereas this upcoming title is built from the ground up for mobile devices. There is a distinct difference in that and it’s worth repeating. All that aside, Blizzard has shared next to nothing about what this game is. That includes genre, gameplay, and overall premise of the game. What we can tell you is what a good portion of the community seems to hope it will be – a mobile pet battle game. If you’re unfamiliar with World Of Warcraft, and its many, many different ways to play, there’s a mini-game within the larger game that lets you battle your pets against the pets of other players. Blizzard hasn’t alluded to this upcoming mobile game being anything of the sort. But it seems the format would probably lend itself well to a mobile platform.
Blizzard will reveal the Warcraft mobile game on May 3
If you’re eager to find out what Blizzard has in store for mobile gamers, you won’t have to wait too long. The studio will be holding a reveal livestream for the game on May 3, which is next Tuesday. The livestream will kick off at 10am Pacific Standard Time. And you’ll be able to watch the event through Blizzard’s website here. Though it’s entirely possible that you’ll also be able to watch the stream on YouTube. If the event isn’t streamed on the official World Of Warcraft YouTube channel, it will likely pop up there later in the day. As mentioned above there’s not a lot to know about the game right now. Other than reveal date and that this will be built from the ground up for mobile devices as Blizzard’s first official mobile set in the Warcraft universe. Blizzard did also share an image along with its announcement tweet. There’s not a ton to unpack there, but judging by the cog and lightning bolt it has something to do with gnomes or goblins? Who knows.
