Beyond that, Activision may choose to keep some features or additional modes close to the chest. Intending to save those details for a future date closer to the release. The worldwide reveal for Modern Warfare II will happen on June 8 at 10am PT/1pm ET. So you can expect to see a new trailer and likely a new blog post with more in-depth information next Wednesday morning/afternoon.
What to expect from the Modern Warfare II worldwide reveal
Activision isn’t sharing any details just yet about next week’s revealing of the game. We’ve already seen two teaser trailers. Including the most recent one that mentions the worldwide reveal date. Which you can view above. Aside from that players are pretty much left in the dark, which isn’t really surprising. Since Activision is planning to give players more information with the worldwide reveal, it’s likely that this will include a cinematic trailer. As well as potential footage of gameplay. Gameplay footage, if included, could also provide a first look at both the campaign and multiplayer. As Modern Warfare II will no doubt contain both modes. Then again gameplay for either mode could just as easily be saved for a different reveal. Giving Activision the ability to spread hype out over multiple announcements and keep the excitement levels high. Infinity Ward isn’t just working on the new CoD mainline title. It’s also the team behind the revamped Warzone experience that Activision announced earlier this year. So there’s a chance that there could be details on that in addition to Modern Warfare II. Although, that seems less likely given Activision hasn’t mentioned anything about the new Warzone experience in relation to the reveal next week. All that’s clear at this point is that it’s launching alongside Modern Warfare II later this year and that it will “massively evolve the battle royale genre.”
