The speed that your browser runs is really important to the whole browsing experience. You don’t want to wait around for pages to load, especially if your work centers around opening and closing pages. This is why companies like Apple, Google, Mozilla, Microsoft, and others work hard to make sure that pages load quickly on their browsers.
Now, Chrome is 20% faster on Mac computers
A couple of months ago, Chrome reached a milestone on macOS. It was able to surpass Safari’s speed according to Apple’s browser speedometer. This means that Chrome was faster than Apple’s browser running on Apple’s operating system. In March, it was able to score 300, and that was about a 7.7% increase over Safari’s score of 277. Now, Google was able to boost its score to an impressive 360 points. That’s a 20% increase over the previous number. At the moment, we don’t know Safari’s numbers, so we can’t tell if it’s still slower than Chrome.
