Now fans know exactly how long it’ll be before they can play the game they’ve been waiting so long for. It’s been more than ten years since the launch of Diablo III. And ten years is a long time to wait for any follow-up game. Even longer when you aren’t even sure if there’s going to be a follow-up. Luckily Blizzard officially confirmed Diablo IV was coming a few years ago. Showing off the title art at the same BlizzCon where it announced Diablo Immortal. And now there’s an actual date for the launch.
A Diablo IV release date wasn’t the only announcement
In addition to revealing when the game will be playable, Blizzard showcased what players will get with the game’s few different editions. The most notable thing here is that pre-purchasing will open up early access to the open beta early next year when it goes live for the public. It’ll also grant players early access to the launch by up to four days. So anyone who wants guaranteed early play time will need to place their pre-orders. Diablo IV will release for PC via battle.net, as well as on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. Of course preorders also come with other benefits in the form of in-game goodies. You can score a mount for World Of Warcraft, a cosmetic set for Diablo Immortal, mounts in Diablo IV and a handful of other stuff. You can see the full lists of everything included below, in addition to the items that come with the Collector’s Box. Which by the way doesn’t include a copy of the game. You can also watch the release date trailer if you happened to miss it last night, and read more about the game here.
