It’s all but confirmed that Samsung will launch its next-gen smartwatches in two models. While that’s unchanged from previous years, the company is rebranding the Classic model as Pro this year, and likely removing the iconic rotating bezel. The Pro model will come in a single size option (46mm) while the vanilla Galaxy Watch 5 will be available in 40mm and 44mm sizes. There have been reports that the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will feature premium materials such as titanium case and sapphire glass. The latest leak reiterates that. The wearable, codenamed Project X, will reportedly come in Black Titanium and Gray Titanium colors. The Galaxy Watch 5, meanwhile, will get Graphite and Silver colorways for both size variants. Additionally, the large (44mm) watch will also come in Sapphire color while the smaller (40mm) gets an exclusive Pink Gold hue. Samsung has done so in the past as well, offering its smallest smartwatches in Pink Gold color. Many women prefer this light color and also typically have smaller hands than men. We have heard about Galaxy Watch 5 series color options in the past as well. The latest leak is largely in line with that but differs ever so slightly. Perhaps it’s the name of the colors that varies. The shades are likely the same. Either way, the growing volume of leaks is evidence that Samsung is getting closer to unveiling the Galaxy Watch 5 series. Rumors have it that the company will hold its next Unpacked event on August 10 where it will announce its latest smartwatches. We will keep you posted.
Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 will come alongside the new watches
Along with the Galaxy Watch 5 series, Samsung will also unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 foldables during its next Unpacked event. Leaks have revealed a lot about the upcoming foldable duo too. The devices will come with plenty of notable upgrades over their respective predecessors. Upgraded cameras, improved design, more durable folding screens, bigger batteries, and faster charging are some of the highlights. The Galaxy Buds Pro 2 may also arrive alongside the new foldables and smartwatches. But that isn’t confirmed yet. We will likely find out soon.
