The Pixel Tablet & its speaker dock just appeared on Facebook Marketplace
Several images have been spotted. You can see the tablet itself, with the display on, as well as both the tablet and the speaker dock in one image. One of the images, included in the gallery below, shows the speaker dock separately too. Now, on the homescreen of this tablet, you can see a tablet-optimized Pixel Launcher, and a familiar wallpaper. This wallpaper comes from the ‘Feather’ collection available for the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. Based on the toast message issued on the At a Glance widget, this tablet was just set up. So, we presume that this is the default setup that you’ll get once you boot the device for the first time. In terms of the speaker dock, well, it looks like the base of the Nest Hub Max, basically. There is a Type-C port on this speaker dock, which is visible in one of the images provided below.
The speaker dock may be included, or sold separately
We’re still not sure whether this speaker dock will be included in the package with the Pixel Tablet or will it be sold separately. Google’s idea is for it to be used in collaboration with the tablet, though. So you basically get a portable Nest Hub Max, a tablet that is also a smart display at the same time. Google still didn’t confirm when exactly will the Pixel Tablet come, but the company did tease the product. Google also said that it will be coming next year. We do expect it to launch during Google I/O 2023, if not sooner.
Both devices may launch in May 2023, along with the Pixel Fold
Google I/O will almost certainly take place in May 2023, so the timing fits perfectly. In addition to the Pixel Tablet and its speaker dock, the Pixel Fold is also expected to drop during that event. As mentioned earlier, nothing has been confirmed just yet. Google may opt for a different launch timeframe.
