Right now, there’s not much to go on with this teaser, as all we got was a page with a picture. The image shows the Windows 11 background that’s been colored with different shades. In the middle, we see the text “Save the Date”. Above the image, there’s the text “Watch live to see what’s next” with the time and date right under it. It’s going to happen on October 12h at 10 am EST (7 am PST). If you use Outlook for your organization, there’s an .ics file that you can download from the page.
What to expect from the Microsoft Surface 2022 event
Well, this is going to be a hardware event, so we’re going to see the newest Surface devices that the company has been working on. Over the past couple of months, we’ve been following rumors regarding the new Surface Pro 9 two-in-one. This is going to be the next major iteration in the Surface Pro line-up, but it’s not expected to bring many big changes to the platform. Last year’s Surface Pro 8 was a major leap over the 7, so we can expect the company to work on refining those changes and delivering more power. The Surface Pro 8 is going to be the main attention hog at the event, but that’s not the only device we expect to see. We also expect to see the next iteration in the Surface Laptop series of devices. The Surface Laptop 5 will come with the latest Intel and AMD processors. That’s good news, as these devices usually used older AMD processors compared to the Intel ones. This year, it’s expected to use up-to-date processors from both companies. Last, but not least, we’re expecting to see the latest Surface Studio all-in-one computer. This will be the third generation. Notably, this device’s accessories were leaked. We saw the additional keyboard, mouse, and stylus that you can use with the device. The event is in only a few weeks, so there’s not much time to wait. If you’re excited to see what Microsoft is coming up with next, then you should mark your calendar.
