That being said, the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra is looking to succeed the Motorola Edge 20 series that launched back in July. The Motorola Edge X name got confirmed by the company yesterday, for China.
The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra specs leak to reveal a powerful smartphone
Based on the leaked specs, this smartphone will be one of the first to come with the Snapdragon 898 SoC. That chip hasn’t even been announced yet, by the way, Qualcomm is expected to announce it on November 30. Now, based on the leaked specs, courtesy of TechnikNews, this handset will be quite powerful. Aside from the Snapdragon 898, the phone is said to feature a 6.67-inch fullHD+ OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. HDR10+ content will also be supported. The phone will be equipped with 8GB / 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and will include 128GB / 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, respectively. Android 12 will come pre-installed on this phone. You will also find two SIM card slots inside the phone (2x nano SIM), and an in-display fingerprint scanner. We’re almost certain Motorola will utilize an optical in-display fingerprint scanner, not an ultrasonic one.
A 5,000mAh battery will be included, along with 68W charging
A 5,000mAh battery was also mentioned, and the same goes for 68W fast wired charging. THat charging will be able to charge the device to 50-percent in only 15 minutes, allegedly. It will get it to 100-percent in 35 minutes, the source claims. Wireless charging won’t be included. A 50-megapixel main camera (OV50A sensor, OIS) will be backed by a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera (Samsung’s JN1 sensor, macro mode), and a 2-megapixel OV02B1B sensor. What’s interesting is that the phone is tipped to have a 60-megapixel front-facing camera. That camera will allegedly support 4K video recording. Another interesting addition here will be a Google Assistant button, a physical one. That will be available on a global version only, not on the Motorola X Edge. The device is said to weigh 200 grams, support 5G, and ship with Bluetooth 5.2 support as well. It is expected to launch in China in December, while the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra (global variant) will arrive in January.
