Well, thanks to some leaked screenshots that popped up last Friday users can get their first look at how the software will appear on other devices. Which could include anything from the long-rumored Pixel Watch to devices from Google’s partners like Fossil Group and more. With all of that said, there are a handful of screenshots that show off different tiles and apps for what is likely the stock experience.
Stock Wear OS 3 gets an all-new Google Assistant tile
If you’ve been wondering about the Google Assistant redesign that Wear OS is going to be getting, wonder no more. 9To5Google has shared a couple of screenshots of the new look, and it features the Google Assistant light bar that you see on smartphones. The light bar also sits at the bottom of the display on watches just as it does on phones. So Google seems to finally be unifying things here. There’s also a new tile for step counting that could be tied to an upcoming Fitbit device that runs on Wear OS 3. As well as a new Messages notification screen that shows a small portion of the conversation from the sender. Wear OS 3 is set to land for other devices sometime later this year. And there’s a good chance we could see some of that come to fruition in May around the time of Google I/O. Especially since Google announced Wear OS 3 at Google I/O last year. If you have one of the watches that’s compatible and will receive the update at some point, you may want to keep an eye out for new software in the weeks and months after the event. In the meantime, you can imagine what Wear OS 3 would look like on your watch by looking at these leaked screenshots.
