Citing information from tipster Yogesh Brar, 91Mobiles reports that OnePlus has started “private testing” the OnePlus 10 Pro in India and Europe. The company is aiming to start selling its latest flagship in these regions by mid or end of March. The phone was also recently spotted on an Indian certification website bearing the model number NE2211, hinting at an imminent launch. Additionally, the Bluetooth SIG also last week certified multiple variants of the OnePlus 10 Pro for global markets. The phone recently received the HDR10+ certification as well. All these developments hint at a nearing global launch of the device. We will let you know when we have more information.
OnePlus 10 Pro nearing a global launch
The OnePlus 10 Pro is a top-tier flagship Android smartphone and a successor to the last year’s OnePlus 9 Pro. It sports a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 1440 x 3216 pixels resolution, LTPO2 technology, one billion colors, 1300 nits of peak brightness, and HDR10+ certification. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. We have a triple camera setup at the back, calibrated by renowned camera brand Hasselblad. The cameras feature Dual-LED dual-tone flash and can capture 8K videos. The OnePlus 10 Pro packs a 5,000mAh battery. It supports an insane 80W fast wired charging as well as 50W fast wireless charging. The device gets a Gorilla Glass-protected full-glass body with an aluminum frame. Other highlights include an optical under-display fingerprint scanner, Android 12, NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, and USB Type-C 3.1. For all this, OnePlus is only charging CNY 4,699 (roughly $740) in China, for the base variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Though it could come slightly costlier in global markets, it will still be an appealing proposition if the company prices it rightly. Unfortunately, the OnePlus 10 Pro is only available in OnePlus’ home country China as of now. While the phone does appear to be getting closer to a global launch, we don’t have an exact date yet. Hopefully, we will get to know that soon. We will keep you posted.
