The OnePlus 11 launch event will probably take place on December 17
OnePlus’ launch event will kick off at 2:30 PM China time. That translates to 7:30 AM CET / 6:30 AM GMT / 1:30 AM / 22:30 PST (December 16). OnePlus actually announced the OnePlus 10 Pro in a similar fashion, China first, global launch later. Many of you are probably wondering when will the device launch globally. Well, it’s expected to arrive in Q1 next year, but we don’t know when exactly. We may have to wait until March, though. OnePlus may even push it beyond Q1, to April, who knows. Prior to the OnePlus 10 Pro, the company did things differently. OnePlus phones got announced globally, the company didn’t host a China launch first. Things did change, though, unfortunately. The company’s image for this launch event announcement doesn’t really reveal anything. You can check it out below. All we get is the launch date, basically.
We do know what the phone will look like
The OnePlus 11 did surface a couple of times thus far. We’ve seen its CAD-based renders, and a leak showing allegedly-official images of both OnePlus 11 colors. OnePlus did decide to change the design of the phone’s back, a little bit. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will fuel this smartphone, that has been confirmed. The phone will probably feature a 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO AMOLED display. That panel will be curved, and it will offer a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is also expected to include LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 flash storage. A large battery is expected, along with 100W fast wired charging. 50W wireless charging will also be on offer, as will reverse wireless charging. The device is said to include a 50-megapixel main camera, a 48-megapixel ultrawide unit, and a 32-megapixel telephoto camera. Android 13 will come pre-installed, along with the company’s OxygenOS skin.
