‘Live Bloom’ wallpapers are now rolling out to Pixel phones
These wallpapers are a part of December’s Pixel Feature Drop, which started rolling out yesterday. You’ll get four wallpapers in this pack, and they bring “your Pixel screen to life with images that shift and sway when your phone moves”. The photos are provided by Andrew Zuckerman with a “Bloom one by one. Grow together” caption. The names of these wallpapers are Boat Orchid, Flamingo Flower, Maki Dahlia, and Persian Buttercup. You can check them out below. Each of these backgrounds gets you twelve Dynamic Color palettes. These actually remind us of the ‘Bloom’ collection that rolled out to the Pixel series phones. There’s no blur effect here, though. These are rolling out widely via a new version of the Pixel Live Wallpaper app. You’ll need version 2.0 in order to get them. Do note that you’ll only be able to get these wallpaper on some Pixel phones.
They’re only rolling out to select Pixel phones, though
The phones that these wallpapers are rolling out to are the Pixel 6, 6 Pro, 7, and 7 Pro. Do note that you can update the app on the Pixel 6a, 5a, 4a 5G, and 4a, but you won’t get these wallpapers. It is worth noting that the ‘Live Bloom’ wallpapers will appear side-by-side with the Bloom series on the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. These are certainly a nice addition, especially if you like flower-themed wallpapers. We expected something more in line with fall or winter themes this time around, but that didn’t happen.
