Samsung releases another Android 13 beta update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3
The latest beta release for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is currently available in India with the firmware version ending with ZVJF (via). As expected, Samsung is focusing on bug fixes and stability improvements over new features. This is an indication of a nearing stable release. The company has already confirmed that the 2021 foldable model will pick up the stable update next month, along with more than a dozen other Galaxy smartphones and tablets. As for the content of the latest beta build, Samsung has fixed the problem of audio not coming through on Galaxy Buds when the output source is switched through the Media panel in BT Carkit. The company has also fixed the Talkback bug that caused the button label to not translate on the cover screen. Unfolding the phone sometimes showed a smaller wallpaper if you have a theme applied. The latest release fixes that problem as well. Additionally, Samsung has got rid of the problem that caused the taskbar to disappear when unfolding the phone after changing swipe gestures on the cover screen. Issues with the camera autofocus and preview stuttering have been fixed as well. Other fixes include the phone crashing when the signal app sends a notification and content playback pausing when opened in Flex Mode. Samsung has also fixed problems with AR Emoji, Director’s View in camera, and Super slow motion video editor.
More than a dozen Galaxy devices will get Android 13 in November
As said earlier, Samsung plans to release the stable Android 13 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in November. The company recently published a roadmap revealing that it has about 20 smartphone and tablet models lined up for the big Android update next month. While the roadmap is for South Korea only, most devices should pick up the update globally. We will keep a close eye on these developments and will let you know when the updates roll out publicly.
