YouTube Music for desktop will get the song and video switcher
YouTube Music has a ton of content to listen to. Not only does it have all of the music in Google Play Music, but has the massive reservoir of music videos present on YouTube proper. This makes it a great option for people who want to have a lot of variety with their music. For the longest time, you’ve been able to switch between music and video feeds on the spot with the apps. While this is true, you weren’t able to do the same thing on the desktop version; that is until today. YouTube Music is now rolling an update that will bring the song and video switcher to the desktop version. Just like with the app, you will be able to instantly switch between music and video feeds on the fly. This is only if a song has a video element. If it doesn’t, then the switcher will be grayed out. On the other side of that coin, any video can be switched to audio. So, if you’re watching a video, but you want to switch it to just audio, you can flip the switch and change it.
In Other YouTube Music News: The dislike counter was enabled in YouTube Vanced
When YouTube removed the dislike counter for all videos, everyone reacted. Not many people liked the fact that you can’t see how many dislikes a video has gotten. YouTube thought that this was a good idea, and it even posted a video on the matter. However, the developers and YouTube Vanced wanted to bring it back, they did. An update to the app landed that adds the dislike counter back. The update had been out for a while, so if you don’t see it, you should check for it.
